A lot of my clients have asked me for some healthy deserts to satisfy their sweet tooth, especially at night before bed. One of my favorite things to have to relax me at night before bed is some Golden Milk because it is warm, sweet and soothing. Golden Milk is an ayurvedic drink that incorporates the use of a nut-based milk and turmeric. This drink is best known for its anti-inflammatory properties from the turmeric which has been used to support brain and joint health for thousands of years. In addition, both ginger and cinnamon are known for their anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial benefits. And the use of coconut oil provides a healthy fat that helps transport these nutrients into our bodies (not to mention it tastes heavenly). This concoction is both delicious and contains numerous health benefits...now that's a dessert I can get behind!

Ingredients
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
¼ tsp. ground turmeric
¼ tsp. ground ginger
¼ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. coconut oil
1 tsp. raw honey
Directions
In a small saucepan, add almond milk, turmeric, ginger, coconut oil, and honey.
Whisk to combine and warm over medium heat. Heat until hot to the touch but not boiling - about 2 minutes - whisking frequently.
